Are people putting celebrities on a pedestal?
I was browsing Facebook the other day and I came across an amusing Daily Mail article about a 54-year-old personal trainer who’s had several people come up to him and tell him he looks like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. This has apparently happened so many times that he eventually decided to get 50 tattoos similar to those of The Rock. Besides the fact that this man barely looks like The Rock, in my opinion, all I could think about is how sad and pathetic it is that a man his age decided to go as far as getting similar tattoos just so he can look like someone else, instead of just being himself.

In another equally amusing Daily Mail article, Khloe Kardashian is being praised for her supposed bravery after displaying her cellulite. Firefighters, step aside so Khloe can show you what true bravery is! People constantly wear outfits that display their cellulite, but that doesn’t mean anything until Khloe Kardashian does it, apparently.
Are people putting celebrities on a pedestal? Definitely. I get it, they’re public figures and they have fans and are adored by the masses. I’m a fan of many celebrities as well. But people are doing way too much at this point. As funny as it is, it’s really a shame that celebrities receive so much attention and adoration for the most basic things. And it’s an even bigger shame when someone decides to abandon their identity so insouciantly and alter their physical appearance all so they can look like another human being.

Is the line between fandom and obsession being blurred more and more each day? Leave a comment and let me know what you think; I’d love to hear from you.
I hate when celebs are praised for doing the bare minimum. Especially someone like Khloe Kardashian who has spent the last few years promoting unhealthy weight loss. The line between fandom and obsession is definitely blurring. People have become so obsessed to a point where celebs can do no wrong in their eyes which I think is so ridiculous because famous people need to be held accountable just like everyone else.

So true! People are way to obsessed with celebrities. A few years ago someone was selling the air from a Justin Bieber concert on eBay 🤦🏾♀️
But with cancel culture nowadays, people are holding celebrities accountable to an extent; so that’s a good start.

Lol please tell me no one bought that 😅 Yeah that’s true at least with cancel culture there’s more accountability. But you still see these crazy stans that will defend them no matter what.
